Explore the fundamentals of Yin Yoga based on the holistic model of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

As an ancient medicinal system, there is a certain kind of magic to TCM which is made accessible through the practice of yin yoga. It is an inclusive web of healing modalities that address our entire being- including the body, mind, and spirit. In TCM, there are twelve regular meridians and eight extraordinary meridians. While the regular meridians are used for healing purposes, the extraordinary meridians are mainly for spiritual pursuit.

In this training, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Chinese medicine and Yin yoga including the Five Elements, Three Treasures, Chinese meridian system, healing sounds & colors, Yin Yang organs and their associated emotions. We will also be sharing how to infuse the elements of Qi Gong and acupressure points into your practice.

In today's fast-paced world, as more people are suffering from stress, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and physical ailments, the demand for Yin Yoga is increasing drastically. In this training, you will learn how to eliminate toxicity from your life and create a sacred sanctuary within the temple of your body and mind.

Yin Yoga is a sustaining self-practice that you can do regardless of age, ability and other conditions. It is also the perfect complement to a high-intensity yoga practice such as Ashtanga or Power yoga.



Light with grace, strong with wisdom, and flowing with wit, Annie Au is now a nomadic yoga trainer traveling around the world most of the year leading trainings and workshops. 

She has previously studied with Sri Dharma Mittra and attended his 800hr Life of a Yogi Teacher Training in New York City. Annie is a Yin Yang enthusiast, enjoying both the heart-beating Vinyasa flow as well as being deeply passionate about the soul-cradling Yin practice. Having attended numerous Yin yoga teacher training and specialized in yoga anatomy, she has designed her own complete Yin course along with a comprehensive map of the inner and outer bodies. She now proudly and happily shares this Yin yoga and Chinese Meridians teacher training with the world.
Annie is a devoted student of Tibetan Buddhism and makes time for silent retreats throughout the year, keeping herself aligned and attuned to her own intuition and spiritual practice.

September 16th: Arrival (Check-in anytime after 3pm to Hotel) 
September 17th: Training begins at 7:30am at Pondok Pitaya Hotel

September 26th: Training completes at 8:30pm
September 27th: Departure (Check-out by 11am)


The training will be held in the remote, peaceful paradise location of Balian Beach in West Bali. This tranquil location has the “old world” feel of Bali before it became popular with tourism. Pondok Pitaya Hotel is located on the edge of a natural volcanic black & gold-glittered sand beach surrounded by beautiful cliffs. The expansive beach is safe and perfect for long walks during sunset or sunrise.

We chose this location as the spot for our Yoga Trainings in Bali 5 years ago for it’s magical healing powers and it’s connection to nature away from outside distractions. You will be able to completely immerse yourself in the training and be supported by like-minded trainees.



6:45 – 7:15am ~ Tea, coffee, fruit

7:30 - 9:30am ~ Morning yin, pranayama, meditation, chanting, Qi Gong practice (2hrs)

9:30 - 11:00am ~ Breakfast

11:00 - 1:00pm ~ Theory of TCM (2hrs)

1:00 - 2:00pm ~ Lunch

2:00 - 4:00pm ~ Anatomy (2hrs)

4:00 - 6:00pm ~ Postural clinic (2hrs)

6:00-6:30pm ~ Sunset break

6:30 - 7:30pm ~ Evening yin or yoga nidra (1hr)

7:30 - 8:30pm ~ Dinner

*We may change 6:30pm to 8:30pm practice some nights

*February, 22nd is a Day Off

Cancellation Policy:

The $500 USD deposit is non-refundable.

If the need to cancel 1 month prior to the yoga teacher training starting, we will provide 100% refund of the tuition minus non-refundable deposit.

If the need to cancel with less then a months warning, 100% is non-refundable but the $500 deposit can be transferred as credit to any future yoga teacher training with Exhale Yoga Retreats at this location with no time limit, subject to availability.
